With the new body scanners installed, plan on spending some extra time in the security lines.
Whenever possible, I try to fly out of here instead of LAX. Much less painful.
SO EASY. I just walked off my plane, straight to baggage claim (which is outside, so LA) and my bag was just waiting for me. Kinda unbelievable.
They are running everyone at Terminal A through the scanners now. Allow extra time at peak.
Make sure you bop your head to the 80s tunes they typically blast throughout the airport :)
