I'll preface this by saying that I was never able to actually see the doctor because of complications with her assistant. The woman that I spoke with was *very* difficult to deal with. When I reached out to her, explaining that this was a referral from another doctor, I was already prepared for the "membership fee," along with everything else that comes along with seeing the doctor. Dr. Gilbert is officially my favorite doctor! I have never felt a doctor take the time and effort to do such an in-depth appointment with me. I actually felt like a patient and I never felt rushed or that I was just another statistic in their calendar. Dr Gilbert was referred to me by a doctor friend and had been my family doctor for more than 10 years. She is caring and thorough, and spends a lot of time with me even for a check -up. I normally don’t write reviews, but I have to write it for Dr. Gilbert because of what she did for me. This year I had a mysterious high fever, Dr. Gilbert, being an infectious disease specialist, was able to diagnose it correctly right away and literally saved me. I don’t want to imagine what would happen to me if I didn’t go to her!
25 years ago I went to see Dr. Gilbert at a group practice in the West Village and I just thought she was fantastic. She left that practice and they wouldn't tell me anything about where she went. Some time after that I saw her placard outside a medical office in my neighborhood — I found her again! I have seen her as my primary care physician ever since, for more than 20 years. If you need a covid test, please use Dr. Gilbert! She is responsible, kind and patient. Sunita was also really kind, helpful and patient in terms of booking appointments and addressing any concerns. The results will come to you next day, which is awesome! Thanks for everything you are doing!! :-)
