If I could give 0 stars, I would. This was hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had at a nail salon. I came in with press-ons from Walgreens and clearly asked for them to be removed and replaced with a real full set. Instead, the nail tech refused to take them off and just applied gel over the press-ons. Not even an hour after leaving, the nails started falling off. Horrible experience and sad to see how they allow themselves to act this way in such a healthy community such as Newport Beach! The problem is not only about the money but the fact that they insulted my intelligence and took advantage of my trust. The people that are working there are not the old decent good people that used to work there. We accidentally wound up at this place a few months ago and it was fine for manicures. We drove all the way over from the beach to try again yesterday and it was a disaster. We had an appointment which I called in three hours ahead of time. Both my wife and I were wanting manicures and pedicures. The place is filthy. They put a bag over the basin, but underneath it is super gross. You can look around the spa chairs and in other places and the place needs a deep scrub. I was excited to try a new place for a manicure but my second visit left me with bruising and pain after a very aggressive "shiny buff" that the manicurist recommended. My nails are super sore and there is visible bruising under ny nail beds that has lasted for a week already. Management was completely unsympathetic and dismissive telling me that this is normal.
