Im in 2-3 hotels a week. I usually deal with the sales staff and rent a conference. The entire staff was beyond helpful. The rooms were very nice too.
Had my reservation booked 2 weeks in advance and they called me one hour before I was to arrive to say they no longer have my room available. I was coming from out of town so I had to find another place to stay. Why do they charge me if I cancel on the day of arrival but nothing if they cancel on me? Find another place to stay or take a chance of this hotel cancelling on the day you are supposed to arrive. So frustrating!
My employer canceled my work trip but I was unable to find my reservation confirmation in my email. I thought maybe I just had remembered incorrectly and hadn't actually booked anything, but it turns out I had, so I was charged a no-show fee on my work card (which I was not supposed to be using...). When I called the hotel and explained the situation, they were very understanding and completely refunded the fee so that I didn't have to pay with my personal credit card.
