We booked a stay at holiday inn express in north Conway NH for August, we stayed one night out of the week we booked a room for, and because of unfortunate circumstances their was a fire that caused our stay to be interrupted. It has now been 6 months and we still have not received a refund or been able to get in contact with anyone connected to the hotel, this is absolutely unacceptable. Wonderful hotel in a good place to enjoy the beautiful of North Conway. Nearby is the famous "Conway Scenic Railroad" , Train excursion and a special souvenir shop. In the area there are covered bridges like in the movie "The headless horseman" by Walt Disney or "Sleepy Hollow" with Johnny Dep. There are numerous very beatiful waterfalls to visit. I arrived at 4pm after 5 hours of driving only to find the hotel fenced off. A note was posted saying they had a fire. I had received no prior notice about their closure. I broke into a panic and called corporate. The girl told me that it could be fixed by march of next year, its august now and i have no plans to wait that long. I paid in advance. if i could leave 0 stars i 100000% would. first of all, let’s start off with what the hell happened. side note, especially if you are traveling from out of the country DO NOT book with holiday inn at all as a whole at this point. the customer service is insane, my mom had booked about a week ago a two day trip for me and her. she booked it through what she thought was the IHG website. low and behold it ended up being a scam, thing is though, nobody would have thought at all that it was a scam.
