I want to bring attention to an extremely upsetting experience my family had at the Holiday Inn Express on Wintergreen Drive in Lumberton, NC. My family and I are traveling to North Carolina for my grandmother’s funeral, which will take place tomorrow, Monday, March 9. This trip was already difficult and emotionally taxing, and unfortunately, our experience with your hotel made it far worse. Room is dirty and smells bad. Let after 5 minutes. Was refused refund. Photo of my sheets with a brown stain on it.
This hotel was amazing. We typically stay at Hampton inns but decided to go cheaper. I would 200% recommend this place and would go back in a heartbeat. Room was not freezing when we went in, staff was friendly, breakfast was delicious. Freshly ground coffee, pancakes freshly made, even their water to go had cucumbers with a strawberry syrup on the side you could add in! Very impressed and affordable.
