The room we had was both large and roomy. It was one with a king sized bed. The staff was very friendly and from what I saw they looked up and greeted all guests who walked in the door with a smile and pleasantries. The breakfasts everyday were fresh and tasty. I would definitely stay here again.
This hotel is a solid choice, with friendly staff, clean rooms, and nice amenities. It's also quite close to the airport, so you can relax very quickly after you syep off the plane. The only caveat with this hotel is that visitors need to be aware that the airport is about 30 km from Halifax, and there aren't many shops or restaurants nearby. If you rent a vehicle, it's only a 20 minute drive to restaurants and shops, or 35 minutes to downtown Halifax.

Our August 15th flight from Toronto to Halifax was delayed repeatedly and then ultimately cancelled due to the Air Canada flight attendants’ strike. Throughout the ordeal, we were in constant communication with the Holiday Inn Halifax Airport, providing updates as instructed. Despite our efforts, the moment we informed the hotel that our flight was cancelled, we were told we would still be fully charged for our two rooms, with no chance of a refund, and that we would need to “take it up” with the General Manager, Karen Kings... read more
