THERE IS NO RESALE MARKET FOR ORANGE LAKE OWNERSHIP!!!!! This is a huge selling tactic that your salesperson will try to win you with, DO NOT fall for it!!! We trusted Holiday Inn and they trapped us in a contract that we can't get out of! The primary reason we purchased with Orange Lake / Holiday Inn is because they told us how we could enjoy vacations for decades and if we ever wanted to sell, we could easily do that at a hefty profit. We recently stayed at this hotel and although it's a beautiful hotel with wonderful amenities- I can't recommend. The hotel is disgusting. The halls are lined with linen carts at all hours of the day, trash bags line the narrow hallways you have to use if you can't take the stairs (which is hard for strollers, I can't imagine wheelchairs!) my family members room Was DIRTY. I was pressure to buy 4 weeks with Silverleaf Resort now Holiday inn Vacations with promises that the investment will produce equity later on which never happened. I was force to return 3 week back to Silverleaf Resorts now Holiday Inn Vacations. I pay so much for too little and loss a lot of money at the end. I still have 1 week with is unusable. I do not recommend to anyone to buy these timeshares.

To anyone even thinking about buying a timeshare, DON'T! We bought into this scam originally because the sales staff of Silverleaf timeshares made us believe we were spending too much on yearly vacations. They said that for a small monthly fee we would save thousands on Vacations. What they did not mention to us was how high our interest rate was going to be. Was charged upfront. Was not able to use stay and was charged for every change, even charged for my final cancelation. Not what I would expect of IHG. Will not be using Holiday Inn Club Vacations. Gives me a bad feeling about IHG in general and they are my companies go to Hotel.

We "won" a free 3 day stay at the Silverleaf Resorts in Sheridan, IL at the Kane County Fair. They explained we would need to sit through a 30-minute presentation, and we would receive a gift for our time. 30 minutes turned into hours of high-pressure sales pitches from MULTIPLE salespeople despite our declines. We accepted to purchase a 200,000 point package from Holiday Inn Vacation Club on 07/09/2021 during our stay at the Holiday Inn Club Vacations Villages Resort in Flint, TX and gave a down payment of $8,035.00. There is only one word to describe my experience with Holiday Inn -- torture. Imagine experiencing the most intense & severe pain throughout all your body and then having to continue to be subjected to that for 4-5 hours. I suffer from Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), a disease that causes me to be in intense levels of pain 24/7, which has impacted several aspects of my life and forced me into early retirement. My wife and I bought into Silverleaf Resorts back in 2007 or so. We were then upsold when we found out we could only use the property every other year. Then we upgraded again to get better use out of it. The kicker for us was the maintenance fees kept going up...and up...and up. Cue in Holiday Inn Club Vacations.
