Unsafe hotel to stay in with raccoons running around the hallway. Security is a major issue as there's no one there and they leave the doors open. When trying to check out in the morning, no hotel representative is there on site and therefore can't even check out properly. This is an IHG property. However, after a week of speaking with them, they too can't get hold of the hotel to get me my bill.

The front desk approved a late check out . And the manager Trent proceeded to beat on the door making threats to my children and I , although the lady told him he did approve it. He threatened my kids and curses at them . What kind of human being make threats to kids . Now a couple of days later he’s making charges on my debit card saying they’re late fees. I’m filing a lawsuit for harassment, emotional distress and theft. Management condones this behavior and now I have to take matters into my own hands.

On the morning in question, May 10th 2023, I was called at around 11:45 am and told the guest in 308 had not checked out (check-out is at 11am) and housekeeping needed to get in and clean the room. I asked the desk if they had a late check-out the GSR said no. I checked our internal messaging system and there was no note concerning a request for a late check out. Supervisor Earl ********* called me from a BLOCKED number 7 times. After the 2nd call I answered thinking it was an emergency. Earl came on the phone cussing at me and told me that I didn't know who I was messing with! He then proceeded to tell me that he wanted to meet up with me! I hung up and he proceeded to call me 5 MORE TIMES! Wow! BEWARE! Management is HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL. Holiday Inn Vacations aka Orange Lake Vacations hires anyone! I wish I could make a review without selecting a star. They are not worth one. Our Resort was a 10 star and then holiday inn purchased. Salt to the wound we upgraded time of purchase and wished we would of read the reviews. I guess I'm at fault. Since the upgrade 1000s of dollars nothing but lies and headaches being on the phone requesting my account to be fixed. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM HOLIDAY INN! You can just go through any website and get a way better deal! Our nightmare with Holiday Inn began in 2011 when we received an offer in the mail for a discounted stay in Orlando if we were to attend a not-so-brief presentation during our stay. Deceptive marketing practices to get you hooked into a sales presentation. Sale person never mentioned that acceptance required a 1 to 2 hour timeshare sales pitch or that once accepted the c deal could not be cancelled. reporting to the Florida AG's office and getting my credit card charge reversed. Have been on the phone with the corporate office for 10 minutes with no one answering and ridiculous music that plays for 3 seconds stops and repeats. Endlessly.
On April 17th, 2019, my wife and I attended a sales seminar with the Holiday Inn Resort group at the Myrtle Beach, South Beach location. We agreed to attend the seminar with no intention of purchasing anything.
