I'll begin by saying Amy was a delight at the front desk for our check-in. Friendly & sweet as could be, Amy gets 10's! A group of us spent a day at Apache Lake on 8/2/25 then stayed at the Holiday Inn Express for the evening. We had 4 rooms & found the hotel to be in surprisingly good condition & the rooms clean with very comfortable beds. I always check for signs of bed bugs & found none, but one of the group had bites that may have happened at the lake, so I'll give it afor no bed bugs. Extended family met here for a wedding, and we intended to spend a lot of downtime hanging out by the beautiful pool that is shown in the pictures. When we got there, the pool was empty, and clearly had been for a while. No discount offered. The room was clean and breakfast was good, but the ice machine was broken, out sink barely trickled and the AC unit sounded like a chainsaw. Sadness.

An appointment brought us to Globe and this hotel. The hotel is basic, but the breakfast was standard Holiday Inn Express and very good. The hotel is south of downtown Globe. It was quiet and clean. Wheelchair parking was available. I want to recognize Jerome Brown for extra helpfulness. The pool and hot tub were out of service, and the printer at the business center did not work. Jerome saved the day by using the front desk printer.
