I went back and forth between 3 and 4 stars, but ultimately landed on 3. The hotel was perfectly fine, but it just didn’t feel like a very good value for what we paid, and I didn't feel this was the comfortable HIE bed and pillows I have come to expect. We had a suite, and the room itself was fine. Breakfast was the usual Holiday Inn Express breakfast—nothing especially good or bad. Not a problem in the world with this hotel. The beds were really soft, which didn’t agree with my sciatica, but that’s not their fault at all. The staff that we came in contact with from the front desk to the cleaning staff, were all really nice. The one complaint I have is that they took out all the vending machines and you have to purchase from a little place next to the front desk that charges an exorbitant amount for stuff. Other than that, I would highly recommend this hotel.

The rooms are really nice and its very quiet area. The only complaint I have is that the breakfast was horrible. As a Platinum member of IHG I expect the highest quality. I been to many Holiday Inn Expresses and this one falls for the breakfast set up. The Eggs tasted weird, the sausage was just nasty, Potatoes was cold. The Cinnamon roll was the best. The people that check us in and out was friendly and professional. Some even gave ideas where to look for apartments and what areas to stay away from. The pool looked very nic... read more

From the start we got into our room only to see what looked like drink cups that had sweat on the counter that wasn’t wiped off. When I went to wipe it, first I touched it by hand and it was slimy, I went to get a wash rag and wiped it and it was yellowest brown. That really grossed me out but we just wiped it and I tried to let it go. We went across the road to get cookout and on the way back in to our the biggest cockroach I have ever seen came out under one of the rooms and was headed to another room in the hall.
