Where to begin? ~Deep in thought~ I arrived around 1pm with the faint illusion of an early check-in. Hoping to steal a cheeky 2 hours from the ‘IHG man’ only to be foiled by the front desk receptionist who very curtly responded to my polite request with “Check in is at 3pm. As a 20 year veteran of IHG hotels, this was the worst experience in the chain. 1. Checked into a room that was recently smoked in, had to switch rooms. 2. From 2:05am to 2:45am a loud alarm was going off in a room on same floor. It woke up entire floor. It was someones phone.
