I would easily give this location 5 stars if they would solve the room door noise problem. As a contractor the fix is pretty simple, a couple silicone bumpers per door. We stay three nights and it was loud all three days. Most of the people allowed there door to slam as they entered and left. I have never heard doors this loud in any hotel before. I won't stay here again because of this one problem and it's ashame as they get most everything else right.

The property engineer Eric was helful and provided great service. This review is about the lack of care or quality in this location. Zero amenities, too-small low toilets, warped water damaged bathroom walls. Too short shower curtain leaves water all over the floor. No coffee maker, no laundry bags, no free water. The refrigerator/market area is lacking with empty shelves. The breakfast is the worst I've seen at an IHG. No eggs, plastic wrapped pastries and breads. No extras or frills. On May 25th at around 11:55 PM, we arrived at Holiday Inn Express Chesapeake - Norfolk, located at 721 Conference Center Drive, Chesapeake, VA 23320, after a 12-hour drive from Florida to Virginia. We were extremely tired and had the reservation number with us, but the receptionist did not give us proper attention and did not even want to look up the reservation.
