I arrived late at night at the Holiday Inn in Dubuque, and Abe at the front desk was exactly what I needed. He was courteous, attentive, and made the entire check-in process quick and effortless, which I appreciated after a long day.The parking lot was full, but Abe immediately let me know about nearby street parking options, which turned out to be free on Sundays. The room was decent but very dirty. The front desk people during the day were very helpful and pleasant. When we got back from the casino on Friday night we went to the front desk to ask for another towel (We had 4 people in our room with only 3 towels) and I was greeted by the guy working the front desk saying "What's up" I asked him for the towels and he grunted about having to get up to get them. The shuttle service was nice and the shuttle guy was very nice.
Stay elsewhere if you can
Family trip for visiting. My mom is a Clarke alumna '62. We spent two nights. Very quiet and clean. The shuttle was very helpful.
