Staff at the front were very friendly. Rooms could use some updating. They were clean and kept. I know this place has been here as long as I can remember. I always wanted to stay there growing up. Top floor restaurant and bar had amazing views. Bartender wasn't very friendly. Offered easy access to everywhere we went. They double charged me upon check out but credited my card immediately when we called.
Restaurant staff great, very good food. Property is dated, run down, falling apart and staff totally ambivalent, not caringfor guests or the property. A broken picture and frame remained in the middle of the hallway for the three days of our stay. Ownership and operating companies both local so shows total lack of caring by both. Won't make the same mistake again.

The Super8 on steroids If you like grimy motels and creepy hallways this place is for you! From blood spots in chairs and on the bed to soggy, encrusted water damage and pink mold in the shower they have it all! Want a room with a view? You can look but you can’t touch! Their balcony’s are screwed shut. And good luck seeing out the dirty windows anyway because they can’t clean them since they’re screwed shut. This by far was the worst experience I’ve had at an IHG hotel. I travel frequently and decided to stay with IHG last weekend because there were not many options in Charleston on the 4th. The hotel itself is older (which I’m typically okay with when it is maintained well). This hotel is not being maintained well, and is not being properly cleaned.
