Rooms need updates for sure!! Been the same for many at least a decade. Could be cleaner, but for the price & location you can't beat it. Staff is very helpful & friendly. And each weekday afternoon they offer different types of refreshments & entertainment on Thursday nights. If they dont get rained out. Love coming here every August. Very centrally located for all the activities here in Destin!
We had not 1, not 2, BUT 3 cockroaches arrive in our room. Hotel service was not adamant about helping us. I would not recommend.
I had to drop a couple of stars because of a reservation debacle this year. I WILL say that this is the first gaffe in 18 years of vacationing here, and I'm still hopeful they'll do something to make it right. We reserved a 5th floor three bedroom with great beach and gulf views, only to be called 2 days before our stay and told that the condo we'd booked had actually been previously booked and we'd been given it by mistake.
