I’ve read some negative reviews and some positive ones. I can say my review is based off of no expectations when I arrived, other than being near the beach and what little I was told about it. In Destin there is a million things to go and do. My room I shared with someone is the same room she’s used since she was a little girl many years ago. I’ve been coming to Holiday beach Resort phase 1 since 1983 . When my parents purchased their first condo for summer vacationing. HBR is Absolutely the best private beach and easily accessible. Rooms and structure are dated but not bad at all. Everything else good about this place it makes up for any of the minor blemishes that are present. Considering it’s one of the oldest original structures on Destin beach. Most of the resort is only two floors which makes accessing the beach, pool or other amenities a breeze. Rooms need updates for sure!! Been the same for many at least a decade. Could be cleaner, but for the price & location you can't beat it. Staff is very helpful & friendly. And each weekday afternoon they offer different types of refreshments & entertainment on Thursday nights. If they dont get rained out. Love coming here every August. Very centrally located for all the activities here in Destin!
