We have a site for a camp host, and our department frequents the campground for any campground needs. In 2024, we received a grant to build a new bathroom with flush toilets, showers, drinking water, firewood storage, and new playground equipment. Came for Blues on the River and was pleasantly surprised by the recently updated sites and restroom area. Quiet and peaceful and I enjoyed the Owl at night. We were in site 15.

My husband and I have stayed here the past three years while visiting the area for Blues On The Chippewa. It's a basic campground (vault toilets, non potable water, carry in/carry out) but just the type of camping we enjoy. However, plans for a shower house/plumbed toilets are in the works! A camp host site was added this year, but no one was actually occupying the spot during our stay, which bummed us out because it's literally the best/only secluded site. We had site 7 this year and were happy with the shade cover, but if ... read more
