We came here for my wife’s birthday! We unfortunately did not get to meet any Victorian or early American ghosts. Dang. But regardless we had an amazing time! The place has such a modern yet historical charm. Everything from claw foot tubs to old elevators. And the restaurant and bar are incredible. Get the Brussels sprouts, what the chef does to them I don’t know but they were life changing.
I really enjoyed my stay at the Holbrook Hotel! The location is perfect for exploring downtown Grass Valley on foot, with plenty of charming shops and restaurants nearby. The room was very clean, and the staff was warm and welcoming, which made the stay even more pleasant. The Wi-Fi in the back unit wasn’t as fast as I expected, but it may be better in the main building. Love this beautifully remodeled hotel. We had a birthday dinner here (right after getting married!) and it was great. Food was delicious, staff was attentive and the atmosphere was wonderful. There’s another bar downstairs with its own DJ too. The only small oddity for us the fact that we seemed to be seated in the lobby. Not the saloon. There’s a single table in the main room, it’s near the door and the chairs were also different. Almost like an afterthought or a kids table lol.
