Dr. Horner's Clinic is the only vet clinic that I have ever went to that calls me a few days later to follow up with me to see how my pet is doing after being seen a few days prior. He has never turned down any of my emergency visits when I have to come in as a walk in which has really saved me tons of money when I have pet emergencies that happen late on a Friday or Saturday morning ( because otherwise I'd have to go to the 24 hr hospital in Lake Charles) Also love that his spay neuter appointments don't have long bookings,... read more
Purchased multiple horses from Thompson's that were "vetted" by Hoerner and then transported to South Florida. I spoke with Dr. Hoerner after coggins and inspections were done. "Nothing remarkable" was what I was told. Horses arrive, a two year old filly has a halter on thsts probably been on her since she was born, it was cutting her ear off and had grown into her face. I live in Arizona and purchased a horse online in Louisiana. I paid $130.00 to have Dr. Hoerner do the Coggins Test and Health Papers so I could have the horse shipped to Arizona. After being told that the inspection had been completed, I called his office 5 times, trying to speak with Dr. Hoerner because I was concerned that the horse might be a scam. (Age, actual condition? This doctor is compassionate and truly loves animals. He gave me the tools I need as a vet tech to get my puppy rotty through parvo. He understood that the best help came from home and I was qualified to do this. He treated Angel our American Bull. We had brought her in to be spayed and he found cancer...he did everything to save her....but we lost her. I've never had a vet sit there and cry with us. This is a great vet. I highly recommend him as a caring, loving, skilfull vet.
Lobby has a strong urine sent that is sickening, some members of the staff needs to be trained in customer service. Our dog needed urgent care and we were basically blown off by a member of the staff with short rude unprofessional comments. No advice or recommendation on what to do considering they would not get us in and even after looking up our records on our dog in question we were still asked who our vet was.
