RecommendedI had no idea what a gem we were stumbling upon when I suggested we stop at the Hochatown Petting Zoo. Amanda was so friendly and gave us so much information about the different animals. You can tell the staff are all true animal lovers who are there because they love their jobs. I cannot see ever being in the surrounding area without a stop in to the petting zoo. I may even be planning a springtime visit just to see all the new babies!
My wife and I stopped in to check it out. We were surprised to find all the different animals that they have and are trying to rehabilitate both wild and domestic.They had a cow calf there that was hit by a car and left for dead in a ditch. We got to witness the staff doing what they could to try and save it. It had been in the ditch for four days hopefully it will pull through. Amanda and Lane were great guides. We never come to this area without stopping in to see which animals the have! It’s always different, fun and they staff is interactive with the kiddos. Always a highlight of our trip.

We had an amazing time at Hochatown Petting Zoo!! My boyfriend, now fiancé, worked together with the staff to pull off an engagement proposal with little baby Oscar the donkey! The staff let us in early for a private tour and were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about their animals! We had a great time at this petting zoo. The staff was so great with showing us all the animals. They were all so friendly and you could definitely see that they loved their job!! Anytime we come back to Hochatown we will definitely be going to see the animals again❤
