It was a beautiful night Saturday when I went to the chippewa valley astronomical society public outreach. I got to see Mars thru the 24" telescope and it was an amazing sight but the 14" in the other dome was pointing at M13, a globular cluster in the constellation hercules, I think. At any rate it was indescribably beautiful. So many stars that close together! Just WOW! If you have a free Saturday night and the sky is clear, come out and join us, it fun and educational. I highly recommend checking it out!
I very much enjoy public observation nights. It's a good way to increase one's astronomical knowledge.
Their Saturday observing sessions are very well done. Great people, great views, great learning. Highly, highly recommended.
