New vistor to Hobart, the dinner cruise, commentary from the captain was amazing and hilarious. 3 course meal and wine included, well worth it, had a great time.
This is the tour you should take if you want to see an incompetent captain navigate through a fleet of junior sailors actively competing in a national sailing championship. Although the Derwent is a wide river, the captain chose to pass directly through the racing area occupied by the fleet. This action was inappropriate and created an unnecessary and serious safety risk to the competitors.
Lunch cruise. Food, staff and cruise itself was fine but issues with safety and health hazards need to be addressed before the council EHO and/or public health involved. It's an ageing and poorly maintained boat with very little hand soap or hand sanitiser in the ladies loos, no soap at all in the men's or hand sanitiser. A breeding ground for gastro and norovirus if staff can't wash their hands properly after using the toilet then handling food for public consumption. We recently did the 'south tour' and it was very good. The commentary was informative and very entertaining. A great way to spend an hour and view Hobart from a different perspective.
