I went because it was the only place to get a craft beer after 7:00 on a Sunday. The service was slow, inattentive and unfriendly. On a scale of New Haven, the pizza was mid. There was no flight option, and I don't know if you could buy cans, as there was nothing in the front or on the menu about it.

Beer selection was pretty underwhelming for a brewery in the East Coast. Only 2 house IPA’s and both were eh, the guest IPA was their best selection. The dark beers were ok. Pizza was decent.

This brewery is more of a brewpub since it is not a stand alone brewery as typical breweries are. Hoax is combined with Da Legna (or "Nolo" as the exterior sign on the building says). Da Legna is a wood-fired pizza place with two ovens and plenty of seating. Plenty of parking available in the lot. The Hoax brewery is a section in this Pizzeria. Note: Hoax is categorized in Google Maps as a brewery, which it is technically, but it is not a dedicated brewery with the kind of environment you go to hang out in. The brews are made inside the Nolo pizza restaurant, so you'll be going to the restaurant to enjoy their beers rather than a brewery.

Seriously excellent people, friendly hours, great parking, and a really beautiful building. Interesting and fresh brews, and fire pizza ovens. HEY! What more can you ask for?
