Thirty seven years ago on April first, I checked into Hoag as one of the first patients in the dependency unit. I was horribly ill from almost drinking myself to death. As they healed my body they also gave me hope that I could get my life back. I didn’t really believe they could do it but I kept going through the motions until I caught on to the fact that it wasn’t them it was me who would do it. The whole staff was wonderful and I have them to thank for these thirty seven years of a happy, sober life.

Some bullies work there as counslers and head nurse. Not enough activities... 3 total hours a day of classes.. we lead our own morning class and evening AA...which shows how lazy they are. Caught the head nurse Michelle and the head of Php in lies trying to get people and myself to go to PhP for money... alot of dangerous things happening on The medical side, very neglectful.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would! My brother in law was in this program and was kicked out for offending another patient. The lead therapist BRITTANY JOHNS, the Director KATRINA HITTLEMAN, and MATTHEW REED litterally kicked an addict out to the curb at 6pm. They didnt even make sure he had someone there to pick him up. This is how the addiction and psychiatric team deals with your loved one who is at the lowest point in their life. They should be ashamed of themselves.
