Like others, I just received a collections notice on behalf of HMFP when absolutely none of my medical billing accounts show a balance and I have never received a bill from this entity.
Their anesthesia billing department sent a thousand dollar account to collections almost a year after surgery without ever sending me a single bill. They misfiled the claim which led to denial, and did not even reach out so that I could appeal the claim and rectify the situation. Appalling, unethical, and legally murky behavior.

The billing department is by far the worst I have ever encountered. Check your bills as they are frequently incorrect. When you send a message they send a reply that doesn't answer your question and then send a message that the issue is resolved so the chat is closed.
