What a great experience, everyone here is friendly, welcoming and professional. Not to mention the salon is super cute and has a great atmosphere. I got a haircut from Mariah and it's perfect - she took the time to listen to my hair concerns and what I wanted. I would 100% trust Mariah with my hair. Thank you!

Mariah is not only an incredible stylist, she's created a warm, joyful, chic space that you want to spend your time in. She's so well educated in the art and chemistry of hair that I always leave feeling beautiful but also that my hair health is the most important thing. HJEM is truly the GEM of Ann Arbor.

I recently had a blow-dry with curls done, and while the stylist did a reasonably good job, the final result was unfortunately not quite what I had envisioned. I had specifically requested tight curls, but the outcome was much looser than expected. Additionally, the service felt a bit rushed—though I acknowledge that we arrived approximately five minutes late, I had hoped this wouldn't significantly impact the experience.
