I don't want to go into to much so I'll cover the basics. what happened to me but my advise is please do not see this doctor. Horrible bedside manners and actually wanted me to wait 2 weeks to deliver my first baby after he was confirmed deceased because she was going on vacation! After I waited 11 days in the hospital on bed rest for the baby to pass away. She said I'm going on vacation now so you could either wait to deliver when I get back or have another doctor deliver. Duh another doctor.
mrs. great doctor. She was wonderful through the entire pregnancy. always listen to my concerns. came for my delivery even when she wasn't on-call. very friendly & personable staff vey pleasant
if you're going for a natural birth, go to someone else. Dr Hixson doesn't wait for babies to come. A c-section is her best friend. If you want a VBAC, go to someone else- she won't even consider that things might go differently the second time around. She doesn't care for birth plans, and is inflexible in her medical paradigm. The biggest problem with her rigidity is that you never discuss your concerns or preferences, because in her mind she's going to make all of the decisions anyway.
