I just got into climbing recently and out of all the Hive locations I’ve visited, this one is up there in terms of overall experience. The layout is done in a way that makes the gym feel spacious, even when busy. Routes are changed frequently and the gym is kept clean by the members and staff, both of whom are approachable and friendly. I was having lots of fun until I ripped my hands. I went to the front desk and asked the tall brunette girl who was working at the front desk for some tape so I could put it over my bandaids (which they did provide). She said “oh yeah we usually have it but I guess we ran out. We do sell tape though” I asked if they didn’t have any first aid tape in their first aid kit and she replied no. In BC it’s illegal to deny first aid to paying customers. I won’t be coming back here again.

I had my son's birthday party here. Matthew, the coach for the party, was phenomenal with the kids. The whole staff was amazingly friendly, the other climbers were kind, and the facility itself was immaculate. If I hadn't been there last year, I would have thought it just opened!
