I sent in all required information to be a Hit the Road driver, and then crickets. I tried following up and no response. I normally wouldn't care, but they require a lot of personal information to be sent to them, and now I have no idea what they will do with this information. On their website they have conflicting info specifically stating to email with any questions you might have, but then elsewhere it says "don't email us - we're too busy - just send in your application and all required info" (paraphrasing, here). Great service for people who want to see different parts of North America.
I have driven for HitTheRoad 4 times now in the past few years and every experience has been amazing. I am a big solo traveler and this service has made it possible for me to drive across all of Canada and through many of the states. Theres always time to enjoy the sights along the way and listen to all the audiobooks! I would definitely reccommend driving for them.
