Presidio Historic Park You get a good look at colonial California by visiting this park. The adobe walls are great. There is a carretta outside. This park has been undergoing resortation for many years.
Good historical museum The El Presidio de Santa Barbara State Historic Park is a great place to visit for some California history. It was founded in 1782 by the Spanish. The El Cuartel, (the adobe guardhouse), is the oldest building in Santa Barbara and the second oldest in California. Admission is free and there is plenty of free parking around the area.
Historic park The atmosphere was great-a huge garden. The museum was also nice as well as its cafe. I wouldn't recommend it in the morning during summertime though.
