his frontier military post, active 1859-86, consisted of 35 adobe and limestone buildings. Three of the original eight officers' quarters, guard house and two reconstructed barracks with kitchens remain. Restored, they are now a small museum. A cemetery also is near the grounds. Self-guiding tours are available.

Good to see a little old piece of History but wish there was more to it. Only had 3 buildings to look at
