Excellent view into how "our" country's mining industry started almost a 150 years ago.
Now this is worth visiting.... the way miners operated in early times.... my hats off to them....hard work in trying conditions. Gives you a perspective of times gone bye. Excellent home cooked scones at the end.
Very interesting tour of an old silver mine. We did the above ground and underground tour and the guides for both were fantastic. Highly recommended. Just a couple of warnings though -(1) the access road is quite rough so be prepared for that if you don’t have a 4WD. (2) the inside of the mine is mostly low ceilings and rough sloping ground so requires a lot of bending and sure footedness so not suitable for anyone with back, hip, knee or ankle issues
