Amazing experience and very interesting tour. You can walk around the prison on your own, and historical information is posted throughout. Would recommend watching the 20 min video (offered throughout the day in the museum) before you tour. It is a somber place but a very real part of Tennessee history and definitely something worth seeing. The gift shop is also worth a visit - good moonshine. Highly recommend!

Very interesting place to tour. Restaurant on ste as well as a distillery. Could use some upkeep and cleaning however.
Loved touring Brushy! Our tour guide, Randy, was great! Very kind and shared his experiences of being a guard at Brushy. Fascinating history and just a memorable experience. I love seeing history preserved in such a fantastic way! Food was also great at the Warden's Table. Can't wait to go back to Brushy, whether for a tour or a concert!
