A magical visit to the Black Hills. I've been coming here since I was a little kid to spend time with family and this was my first time visiting Hisega. What a lovely place! Tara and Mike are amazing hosts, the rooms are so cozy, fun and inviting, and breakfast is delicious! Tara even went above and beyond to accommodate our food allergies.
Super scenic stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic
Hisega Adventure Lodge was absolutely incredible. The breakfast alone is worth staying for. And the hospitality is stellar as well; we had an early tour scheduled our first morning and they helped to get us fed and out the door on time without skimping on service or quality. Trout Room was perfect for two, with a huge king bed, plenty of space for luggage, and the babbling creek providing background music. My spouse and I had a wonderful stay. It is tucked away off main roads, our room was small (no concerns there), clean, and comfortable with a swift flowing stream right outside. The owners were lovely to chat with, and I got to meet one of the hairless cats. If you are looking for a stay that is clean and quiet, and you plan to be so as well, Hisega Lodge is your place. ...Don't miss breakfast ; )
Great service, home-cooked breakfast served every morning, Fishing spots on the creek, rustic yet comfortable rooms, and a rich history. I was able to forget about school stress and enjoyed my time in the Black Hills to the fullest; thanks to Hisega. I wish I could rate 6 stars!
