Inadequate customer service contacted them regarding consecutive billing over the past three years. However, the most recent renewal email was from 2023, and I never received any paperwork; only monthly bills were ACH from my card. A woman named “Tracy” answered the phone after a lengthy hold. I canceled my Professional additional insurance on 12/9/24 and have not received my refund check, supposedly was mailed out 3x. Every time I call they put tickets in and can't transfer you to an accounting dept it just goes around and around in circles with employees that can't help EVER!!! They expect payment 2 months in advance but yet it's a problem to get refunds returned. I will not be renewing with them and what a shame because I have had them for along time. They allowed me to make an initial payment of $175 SPECIFICALLY for siding. When I had realized that I accidentally purchased professional insurance rather than general I called only to find out THEY DON’T COVER ANYTHING TO DO WITH SIDING. Anyhow, I requested to cancel my policy and was told it would take 3-6 business days for my refund to go through. They’ll snatch your money in an instant knowing full well they don’t have to cover anything you do!!
Hiscox has been a good company to have as a vendor. After a sub broke a water pipe Hiscox handled the whole situation. I would recommend them for business insurance.
