First visit. Staff explained the automatic 17 plus percent service fee charge and cashless payment system, yet menu further confuses that the service charge is not a tip and they are a non-tipping establishment. (Wish I had taken a photo of the service fee statement.) My friend highly recommended their vegetarian ramen, but I prefer to compare the tonkatsu ramen and the fried chicken appetizer to my personal favorite ramen places. This was my first time visiting HiroNori Ramen. This restaurant is located in the corner of a building and has plenty of parking. It's a small, cute and quaint ramen spot. I like the atmosphere. When we arrived, we were greeted right away and got a table for 2. We ordered two appetizers - the Cucumber Crab Salad and the Pork Buns. The salad was refreshing especially since it was a hot day when we went. I wished there a bit more crab to the dish, but otherwise I quite liked the yuzu dressing. My husband took me to Hiro Nori in Tustin for dinner tonight and and we had such a great experience. I genuinely could eat the Tonkotsu Ramen every day. The broth is so rich and flavorful, the noodles are perfect, and everything just hits. So, so good. We split the Fried Chicken and that was really delicious. Great service, cozy atmosphere, and such an easy date-night spot. Already looking forward to coming back — mostly because I need that ramen again!
