No thanks. – I just do not get it. Everyone loves and adores this place. I hate it. My wife and I went there for lunch and was served a pile of goop. There was so much cornstarch mixed with water and seasoning that I wanted to get sick. I think the cook was right off the boat or out of the conex at the pier. I told the waitress that the food was not eitable and she just smiled and walked away. Would like to know what is happening to the resturants in the International District (chinatown). Don't they believe in cleaning the ... read more

Editorial Review – No-frills Cantonese restaurant in the I.D. serves seafood specialties, hot pots and noodle dishes to a mixed crowd.

Never had a bad meal there – I've hesitated writing this review for a long time- thinking we'd keep it our "secret", but people need to know about Hing Loon. The food and service are phenomenal! Atmosphere is plain, but that's not why you go. Salt and pepper prawns, beef gravy chow fun, string beans, green onion pancakes.....all are top notch. Tons of specials, you can't go wrong!

My favorite Chinese restaurant of all time – Hing Loon is my all time favorite restaurant for Chinese comfort food. The food is always delicious, generous portions (for lunch the next day), and the sevice is very friendly. From the exterior, it does not have the ambiance one might come to expect with good food. Get past the fluorescent lighting and old style cafeteria chairs and order one of the specials that are handwritten and taped up to the walls. I regularly order the country style pancake and the sizzling eggplant. Lov... read more

Sex & the I.D. – I don't often like to divulge undiscovered dining bargains, but when it comes to turning over fresh seafood, the more the merrier! Hing's no frills decor inside & out doesn't draw in the average intrepid Asian diner, but round tables of Shanghai businessmen & young Chinese couples gladly populate the place. Do try the Beef Satay Chow Funn & Garlic Stir-Fried Pea Vines (when in season) along with the many sporatic & beautifully penned specials posted around the dining area. Bring a date, because it's all abou... read more

Good Food – This is a great little restaurant that stays open late! Parking is kind of hard to find near this busy International District restaurant, however, it is definitely worth the search! The food is prepared really quickly and it's very good! I would recommend the Salt Pepper Pork Ribs, Hawaiian Style Noodles with Minute Chicken, Chinese Broccoli with Garlic...those are just a few of my favorites!

Dandy Take-Out – My rating of the decor is based on a friend's report when she picked up our meal. Lit up like a sports arena and oddly furnished. The food, however, is fantastic! We had kung pow chicken, moo shoo pork, assorted seafood with ginger and green onions, pork fried rice, and hot and sour soup. It was all very fresh, flavorful and light on the oil. Their sesame desert dumplings are a nice treat too. I'll go back for more.

Best food in the international district – The Hingloons's Cuisine is far and above most of the restuarants listed for best chinese eats in seattle. one look at the names mentioned of other restaurants and you see the Caucasion-centric twist on all the voting going on here. anyway...... Try the singapore style noodles, the salt &pepper tofu, the seabass which is always seems tastier here than any other place. My list of favorite dishes goes on and on . the atmospere is great, and gives you that feeling your waiting patiently ... read more
