I called in to request information on my tag and how to go about switching to Hinds County since I've been here 11 years. I ended up speaking with Miss Debra and GOODNESS she is so DELIGHTFUL! The workers ARE NOT KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THEIR JOBS!!!! Rude and unprofessional!!!!! The tax assessor is equally unqualified and should be voted out!!! The office where iI went to speak with someone about a quit claim deed was a wreck which explains why paperwork is not addressed in a timely manner. The female I spoke with stated they were behind, however the assessors office placed my property on the delinquent tax list after multiple visits to the office to pay my 2024 property tax.
