This winter we kept our boat in indoor storage at Hinckley Yacht Services Stamford, and had a long list of repairs and maintenance performed. The service by Steve Hutchins and team was truly outstanding. Routine Winterization and engine maintenance, battery bank replacement, Full new Bottom Paint, Gel coat repairs, some very tricky Brightwork and varnish repairs, and a full Topside compounding and Ceramic coating. The boat looks fantastic. Vien is a master of Gelcoat and Varnish. My thanks for a great experience!
Would have liked better communication on status of work being done. Hinkley team was great at diagnostic of problems that came up but we spent a lot of time checking on status. We would have liked if some of the work could have been done in fall/ winter early spring months so that we would have been ready closer to requested launch date. Thanks
Hinckley Stamford is excellent in all areas: commissioning, servicing in all categories for both sail and motoryachts, and storage facilities. The management and staff is efficient and knowledgeable.
I had a recent service experience with Hinckley/Stamford and they are outstanding. Knowledgeable mechanics and the soon to be new GM Ron Holland is as good as it gets. Ron is very concerned with the satisfaction of their customers and goes above and beyond to ensure they are happy with their experience at Hinckley. You can’t go wrong dealing with this yacht yard.
Very underexperienced team over there. Managers hiring workers with no marine experience, mechanics who never worked on a engine before fixing the jet drives, new machine operator hauling and launching boats looks like he's never done it before. Not sure what's going on over there anymore, would not recommend to anyone who want quality work done to their vessels.
