I canceled my reservation before the scheduled date and even spoke with a staff member at the hotel to confirm it. As a Hilton member, I was shocked to be told later that no cancellation was recorded and that the staff seemed unaware of their own policies. Every time I followed up to confirm that my reservation was canceled, I received no real help. Hilton went from a brand known for superior customer support to a train wreck of unaccountable personnel who don’t answer phones or respond to emails. Eventually, this will affect their bottom line and maybe then leadership will take action.

So Hilton is now in the business of spam calling customers. The Hilton-hired telemarketer kept trying to say it was a “promotion”. If you are calling me uninvited to pimp something….its spam. Pretty trashy. Funny, Marriott never ever spam calls me. They are too professional for that. Maybe that’s why I’ve stayed at a Marriott 51 days this year. I used to stay at a Hilton once in a while. Not anymore! That’s what spam calling customers will get you, Hilton.
