For the price good room!
Overall a decent place. It is obvious that it is very dated. While there have been cosmetic things done to make it look nicer (like paint, new lights in spots), there are just many things that feel old and not quite kept up. It is a nice little hike to the beach across a marsh that has a a nice boardwalk. It is about 4/10 of a mile. They do offer a free shuttle for those who do not want to walk.
Booked a unit here thru Airbnb and were rather surprised by what we booked upon arriving. Our unit needed a serious deep cleaning; dust in and around AC vents, black mold on the popcorn ceiling in various locations, cracked floor tile in various spots, old baseboards, hairball in the bathroom as well as the place smelling musty. The outside of this place is frozen in the 70's or 80's... (needs a serious modernization) it’s not exciting to drive up to the place knowing this is where you're staying.
