Beware of this ER. It’s a complete circus. They have a young (supposed doctor), bouncing around with a do-rag on his head, thinking he’s a hot shot. Well, this hot shot blew out my kidneys with a shot he gave me. Then I overheard him give the same shot to two patients next to me with completely different ailments. So you have the ignorant “hot shot” then a supposed “Head” nurse who struts around thinking she’s a know it all model (in her 50’s). I want to share our experience with Hilton Head ER. We came in this morning because my husband was having weakness and numbness in his legs and arms. From the time we walked in I never seen such kind caring staff in a hospital. Every single one went above and beyond! After a MRI showed that my husband was very close to being paralyzed because of spine compression Dr Ruben was called in. My wife needed to have blood work done. So I went in by myself to see if this is where we should go. They said yes and admitted her. We then again told them it was blood work. And the nurse got very short and nasty with us. She needs to either be retrained or demoted. I stopped back to get her name and told that we were never talked to like that before and she pretended to pick up the phone and call security. I told her that she doesn’t need to do that , that I already reported her.
The best experience you could have! My mom broke her wrist pretty bad. They got us in quickly and every person that helped us was so pleasant and positive. Dr. Mendenhall was the doctor that saw my mom and he was so patient, efficient and kind. Highly recommend!
Amazing staff. Quick service. Very clean emergency room. Hope to never come back but if an emergency room is needed I have complete confidence in coming back here
