I had major ear issues at the rip old age of 5, and other Drs. refused to see me because they were concerned it was mastoiditis, a pretty bad diagnosis they didn't want to deal with. Dr. Hiltbrand agreed to treat me, and it ended up not being that. But it was quite the wild ride - exploratory surgery, a massive infection, etc. and to this day we don't really know what caused it.
