maple bacon ';( Way to sweet, my dog took a bite and spit it out. If you like sweet you may want to drink your maple syrup instead of eating it. Bacon, marshmellows and fruit loops on donuts.... maybe a name change to Donutz or Hilo Half Baked and what kind donut is Baked? I saw them pull them out of the oven...
False advertising. NOT MADE FRESH DAILY. Also Yelp filters negative reviews, so biased since they are paying for advertisement on Yelp read the filtered reviews from YELP to find out how really terrible this Hilo Bake Company really is. They have MANY negative reviews on Yelp just search the filtered reviews. The folks over there told us they made everything fresh but the doughnuts were hard and dry and the turn overs were really soggy the worst we have ever tried to eat and ended up throwing everything away. Not very good. This place is hyped up and too over rated. Their baked goods aren't anything to brag about. The baked goods look better than they taste. After eating some of theirs, I strongly believe the donuts are the frozen type. This place shouldn't be classified as a bakery at all. Just stating the facts.
Avoid this bakery. Bought some doughnuts to share with the office and no one was impressed at all. A few had mentioned it tasted exactly like the junk 7-11 doughnuts. It seems as though the doughnuts are not freshly made at all unlike what they advertise. The first one seemed warm on the outside and cold on the inside which leads me to believe the doughnuts were precooked and previously frozen and thaw and serve type. FROZEN donuts!!! AUWE not a real bakery!!! Go ELSEWHERE if you want fresh baked goods.
