Aloha, the Hilltop Legacy is at the highest spot in beautiful Hilo Bay. You will enjoy the superb views and privacy of this peaceful Hilltop Retreat. Right outside of your window you will find our oriental garden along with the koi pond, a pair of 100 year old bansai trees and the legendary legacy stones. A short walk down through the historical Haili Street is where you will find museums, grocery stores and shops. At the Hilltop Legacy you will have all the in-town conveiniences along as a peaceful country atmosphere.

This is my GoTo place to stay in Hilo. Beautiful old Kama'aina home, with the current generation turning it into rental rooms. Super convenient location at the top of the hill - less than a mile walk or drive to historic downtown Hilo, the Lyman Museum, Tsunami Museum, Sig Zane, farmer's market, etc. Quiet, beautiful views of Hilo Bay and the lush surrounding hillside and garden in back. I absolutely loved Hilltop Legacy! The hosts were very easy to communicate with, and they made sure I had everything I needed. I live on the big island and went on a little spontaneous trip to Hilo. I was able to book and arrive the day of. The room was adorable and comfortable, and the rest of the place was very lovely, with a wonderful view and large common room with TV, pool table, etc. I would absolutely stay here again!
