My pup was at hillside from Thursday to Monday. Price was very reasonable, drop off and pick up couldn't have been easier. When I asked over the phone how he was, the lady knew which dog was mine immediately and was able to tell me about his stay. On pick up he was happy and clean. Id definitely bring my nutty border Collie back here if I were to go away again!
We LOVE Hillside Kennels. They were recommended to us by our vet. We boarded our 2 dogs, Benji (2yr old GSD) and Freya (3yr old pitbull), over the weekend while we were on vacation. We were running late and they stayed open late for us so we could still board them, they gave them their kennel cough vaccinations for $25 each and made sure they got their nexguard in their food that night. What's unique about Hillside Kennels is that they DON'T use crates! Each dog has a small "room" inside. They all have a doggy door to a large run outside. Each run is separate from other dogs. In addition, they are very particular that your dog is fully vaccinated. The cost of boarding is affordable. The peace of mind I have knowing my boy is safe and well let's me enjoy whatever I needed to board him for. Also the groomer there, Leslie, is very good with my pup. She is fast and efficient and also affordable.
Groomer refused my shitzu poodle because she's 16 yrs old. I was very disappointed after I was there before so long, and now changed. I had to go much farther away. She's healthy and up to date with loving care. How do you think she lasts this long. Honestly, I'm 65 yrs old and feel there's no compassion here. Thanks again.
Very disappointed. After picking up my two dogs this morning and them both smelling rancid. One dog bed had some vomit in it and the other was wet with urine. As well as both blankets. They both immediately were given baths. Upon calling I got, "I am so sorry we do check their beds every morning. But being that they were in the back kennel as long term boarding it may have been overlooked. Not acceptable!
