My pup was at hillside from Thursday to Monday. Price was very reasonable, drop off and pick up couldn't have been easier. When I asked over the phone how he was, the lady knew which dog was mine immediately and was able to tell me about his stay. On pick up he was happy and clean. Id definitely bring my nutty border Collie back here if I were to go away again!
We LOVE Hillside Kennels. They were recommended to us by our vet. We boarded our 2 dogs, Benji (2yr old GSD) and Freya (3yr old pitbull), over the weekend while we were on vacation. We were running late and they stayed open late for us so we could still board them, they gave them their kennel cough vaccinations for $25 each and made sure they got their nexguard in their food that night. What's unique about Hillside Kennels is that they DON'T use crates! Each dog has a small "room" inside. They all have a doggy door to a large run outside. Each run is separate from other dogs. In addition, they are very particular that your dog is fully vaccinated. The cost of boarding is affordable. The peace of mind I have knowing my boy is safe and well let's me enjoy whatever I needed to board him for. Also the groomer there, Leslie, is very good with my pup. She is fast and efficient and also affordable.
Warning. This kennel does not have the capacity to care for elderly pets, no matter what they tell you! We left him there for two weeks. When we collected him, he was emaciated, his fur matted, confused, smelled and could barely walk. I got him home and groomed him and made him comfortable. Hillside has been our go to place. We have boarded our dogs other places, not saying they are bad, but hillside goes above and beyond!!!! Our three dogs are all different in there own way. One of them traditionally can not be around people because she (terrier) will go after them, yet the staff at hillside found her soft spot. They tend to fill during holidays (because they are that amazing) so I recommend booking early.
