Let’s face it, hardware is hardware, but great service is another thing! I go to Hillside for their extremely knowledgeable, attentive and friendly employees, that and the bitchin’ antique radio playing cool jazz! I live close enough to three other similar stores (2 are Ace & arguably more convenient) but I chose to go to Hillside because Tom, the manager & Jerry, the owner (no cartoon jokes!!) take the time to help me sort out what I need for projects and products. Above and beyond service by Helene and Tom aka Maggyver. Not only great service but a lovely store and fun sense of humor. The right kind of old fashioned device that is hard to find these days. A++++
This is an awesome store - very convenient - they have everything and the staff is super helpful, especially Tom who seems to always be there.
Always a pleasure heading into Hillside Gardens. Tom and the crew are not only friendly and helpful, but always good for a laugh or some knowledge on what I’m working on at the moment. Great atmosphere and a huge time saver vs. the box stores. Hillside is always my go-to.
