I have been trying to get our family members remains from Tampa to Tennessee since June. She passed in March we did not know until June. We found on their unclaimed remains listings that she had passed away and was at the medical examiners office. We immediately called and were told since we were only a first cousin we had to wait until August to see if anyone of her immediate family claimed her.
