I understand that we pay a premium for emergency services however, I feel like I've been robbed today. $800 to repair a small leak in a copper pipe underneath a tap that took the plumber about an hour to do. I knew plumbers were expensive but I didn't expect them to be this expensive. Where does the money go? $400 for their time and $400 for a bit of welding gas and some copper pipe?
The plumbing company managed to fix my clogged toilet.
