Calling this a "restaurant" is like calling a dinghy a "yacht". It's a beer stand with some microwavable food. Nothing terrible - but ze Germans would not call this a biergarten. Don't avoid by any means - but not worth a special trip. Three is not a bad rating, people. Its just average. Well, 3.5 then.
I came to Hillgarten earlier this summer as an avid live music listener. Music was solid. The drinks took forever, were extremely over priced, the selection wasn’t good, my food took 30+ minutes all to be told “sorry that’s just how it sometimes”. It was a Friday not even during the dinner rush. I had high hopes to have a good night out with my friends and family, turns out the only thing “high” was the prices at the end of the night. Great outdoor space for a couple beers
I love this place! The food is great, and unlike most establishments in the area, they have not only great drinks, but a great selection of drinks as well. Sandy, the owner, along with being extremely friendly and welcoming, has really built a great place to have fun and hang out with friends. Oh, and most importantly, GET THE PRETZEL! You will thank me!
